Our name is derived from the words "stable" meaning firmly established, steadfast; and "river" a natural stream of water constantly flowing and adapting. As the name suggests, StableRiver is an established and successful firm, employing a steadfast investment process, with the under pinning of enduring values. As a river is in constant motion, so are our investment professionals — analyzing credits, security structures, sectors and the economic forces impacting the level and slope of the yield curve; working to achieve results that exceed our clients' expectations.
We are an Atlanta-based asset management firm that has been serving the fixed income needs of clients for more than 20 years. We combine a strategic perspective with tactical expertise to execute a multi-faceted approach that we believe will produce superior absolute and relative investment performance and reduce portfolio risk over time. We assert that investment opportunities exist to maximize income and total return while maintaining liquidity and preserving principal value. Further, we believe competitive returns can be achieved consistently without taking extreme risks in maturity, duration or security selection.
StableRiver invests in taxable and tax-exempt securities of generally short to intermediate term. The universe of Investments includes all sectors of the bond market. We generally invest in high quality, liquid securities that are easily tradable.
Our strategies are available to a range of institutional investors, including large corporations, not-for-profit organizations and endowments & foundations through separately managed accounts and sub-advised mutual funds, common and collective funds and variable trusts. We manage over $36.4 billion in assets as of June 30, 2008.
StableRiver is an independent subsidiary of RidgeWorth Capital Management, Inc. Prior to 2008, StableRiver Capital Management was known as the Specialty Fixed Income division of Trusco Capital Management, Inc., which became RidgeWorth in 2008.
